Reduced-diameter axle tubes and flared tubes
Cold-extruded reduced-diameter tubes for drive shafts and tie rods (torque above 7000 N·m) and flared mudguard-bracket tubes. A drive shaft saves 9.48 kg.
At a glance
- Cold extrusion with one-piece forming dies
- Tested torque above 7000 N·m
- Balance, torsional fatigue and wear tested
- Made to the customer's requirements
We change the diameter of tubular vehicle parts by cold extrusion, using one-piece forming dies and a reduction (or expansion) process. The accuracy is among the higher levels in the industry, and we make each type of variable-diameter tube to the customer's own requirements.
Reduced-diameter axle tubes are used in drive shafts, tie rods and similar parts. Their service life is verified by balance testing and by torsional fatigue and wear tests; tested torque is above 7000 N·m. Flared tubes are used in mudguard brackets.
