Tapered roller bearings
Separable tapered roller bearings for radial loads plus axial loads in one direction: automobiles, rolling mills, mining, metallurgy and machinery.
At a glance
- Tapered rollers, tapered raceways on both rings
- Separable: inner and outer ring mount separately
- Radial load plus axial load in one direction
- Mounted against a bearing that takes the opposite axial force
A tapered roller bearing is a radial-thrust rolling bearing whose rolling elements are tapered rollers. It is a separable bearing: both the inner ring and the outer ring have tapered raceways.
It carries radial loads and axial loads in one direction. Under a radial load the bearing produces an axial force component, so it is mounted against a second bearing that takes axial force in the opposite direction.
