A track roller bearing is a full-complement cylindrical roller bearing with a thick-walled outer ring. The outside of the roller is cylindrical or crowned, designed for the application to match the track. With this outer ring the roller runs directly on the track and carries heavy loads and shock loads.
The bearing is sealed and filled with grease for long-term lubrication, which reduces wear on the moving parts, keeps the equipment accurate and lowers energy use. For harsh operating conditions it can be designed with a channel for relubrication, to extend its service life.
